What the hell! This is a bit of the South right here in Boise. Real smoked meats from a ‘stick burner’ smoker - the real deal! We read about this place and had to try it. We have traveled extensively through the Southern US sampling all kinds of “Q” and this was right up there with the best. I had shrimp and grits and my wife had the brisket tacos. Since it was her birthday we celebrated with 2 Bloody Mary’s with brisket! The staff was fantastic and very efficient. This will be on our list for multiple return visits.
They really didn’t have to do it to me like that If you come here do yourself a favor and get the fried chicken it’s by far the best thing I’ve put in my mouth in a long and most definitely the best fried chicken ever. The brisket is melt in your mouth amazing. I have never had beef that tasted like straight up the best piece of bacon ever until tonight. The Mac and cheese was amazing and the pickle and sausage board was SO good. The soup of the day was spicy and flavorful, it came with some of the best bread ever. SO GOOD! AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE CORNBREAD This place needs to be talked about more!!
Went for brunch on Sunday. Jack was our server. Had a couple of cocktails. Ordered the Brisket Benedict. It was delicious. Had an Idaho wine, it was really good with the brunch.
This place has been on the list for a while. Made a reservation just in case for late lunch on a Sunday but really didn't need to! Food was spectacular (brisket platter and Cajun cassoulet). Cocktails too. Kristopher was our server and he was very attentive and kind. Wonderful hospitality all around. We'll be back.
I visited Saint Lawrence Gridiron on 03/24/2023 and it was a delightful culinary experience! This place definitely gets a solid 5 stars from me. One of the standout items on their menu is the Dirty Bird sandwich (16.00), and damn, it's a winner. The combination of tender Fried Chicken, tantalizing Louisiana spices, and just the right amount of chili oil creates an explosion of flavors in every bite. The sandwich is elevated further with the white BBQ sauce, perfectly balanced house slaw, and the tangy house pickles. It's a harmonious symphony of textures and tastes that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy! Another must-try item is the Sixth Man Burger (17.00). The bacon jam adds a smoky sweetness that perfectly complements the grilled onions, while the special sauce adds a unique, zesty kick. The cheddar cheese melts beautifully over the juicy patty, and the jalapenos provide just the right amount of heat. Excellent food and service! We got there right at happy hour they had some very good local beers on tap. We got the PBR and pork belly both were excellent the pork belly was so crispy and the meat was cooked perfectly. The PBR was huge the brisket was my favorite and it even came with a Pabst blue ribbon beer! Our friends got the fried chicken and it looked awesome they said it tasted excellent definitely coming back here.
I stopped at Saint Lawrence Gridiron before a day in the town here and was blown away by their hospitality and lunch menu! I was greeted by kind staff and a great selection of drinks with bar classics and fresh twists on originals such as the Ward 8 I settled upon to start my meal. The drink was a nice great “Boston twist” on a classic I was told and came with a nice tangy and refreshing taste! I then got the brisket poutine but substituted the brisket for pulled pork as my main dish already came with brisket. Was a great flavor and overall give it a 8.5/10! My main dish was the brisket cheeseburger and it blew me away! The brisket was melt in your mouth good and was lightly crispy on the outside of the patty. It was dressed with the basic burger combo of lettuce, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and Mayonnaise between two nice buns. Was a plain as day 9/10 for me! For sure a spot to hit if your ever in the area or out and about! Best part was the whole meal costed just over 40! Definitely worth the visit!
Wow! What a great meal. Stopped in for a Birthday celebration. The food was exceptional, the service was top notch!! The poutine was truly amazing, the addition of brisket is a game changer and yes order it with an egg on top, you won't be sorry. The Pickle Board is AMAZING! We also had the 6th man burger order it with the succotash. It's ground brisket made into a burger. Yep as amazing as you are thinking! Closed out with the donut holes, super tasty. Casey was an AWESOME host & bartender! This is your 5 Star 1 Star rating. This will be a regular spot for us when downtown Boise.
